What is allowed??

You must eat regularly – 3 meals and 2 snacks per day

The following food should not cause you any discomfort:

Rice, Bread
Pasta

Apple juice, Herbal tea (without caffeine)
Hot cider

Apples, Bananas
Carrots, Broccoli

Pretzels

Low fat cream cheese

Food that must be avoided

When you suffer from heartburn/reflux you must by all means try to avoid the following:


  • Alcohol
  • Coffee (also de-caf)
  • Tea
  • Chocolate bars or drinks
  • Peppermint
  • Cola drinks
  • Fried foods
  • Cheese
  • Salami
  • Beef sticks
  • Spicy buffalo wings

Also avoid all high fat snacks such as: Potato chips, corn chips, crackers, etc.
